This fruit was sourced from the northeastern to southwestern edge of Chehalem Mountain, above Newberg and north of The Dundee Hills. The northeastern adds a cooler versus southwestern is a warmer aspect.
Barrel select, made from Dijon and Pommard clones; 25% whole clusters are fermented in open top concrete fermenters for 14 days with punch downs, then aged in 30% new French Oak.
Tasting notes: The nose opens with notes of cherry, forest floor, raspberry, and allspice. It has a luxurious silky-smooth mouthfeel and creamy finish. As you take your first sip it leaves you wanting more and more.
Pairing: Pan seared duck breast.
